Middle ground

I was born in the middle of the year, middle of the month and smack on at midday.  That doesn’t mean to say I like everything in the middle: I’m not wild about my middle name and no one likes to be in the middle seat on an airplane but I do like my group shots, sometimes even portraits, to be centered.  If you don’t hear me say “shuffle over to the left please” at your wedding, then you’re either not listening or are deaf.  I bet you feel like rolling your eyes the 7th time  but believe me, it’s worth it. I don’t just mean the people but the background too. Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t have to be a mirror image (the bixi in the first image for example) but the composition of an image is so so so important and sometimes it pays to keep it clean, visually appealing, you know, in the middle.  Here are samples from my latest wedding. Enjoy!
